In the James Bond movie Quantum of Solace, Daniel Craig sports yet another Omega, a Seamaster Planet Ocean 600m Co-Axial Chronometer with a black dial (watch ref. 2201.50.00).
This watch has a smaller case than the Planet Ocean Big Size he wore in Casino Royale, and features a steel bracelet in stead of the rubber band in Casino Royale. Generally a more formal watch than the Big Size from Casino Royale and with the black bezel and dial a new style compared to the blue bezel and dial Seamasters seen in the Bond movies since 1995.

The Ingenieur Chrono Alarm» another variation of the Genta theme was launched in 1991, this time adding chronograph as well as alarm complications to the Ingenieur line. Thanks to its diameter of 34 mm and its military looking main dial, the Chrono Alarm gave a more adult impression than the prior ‘Chronograph’ (Ref. 3734) .
Like its sibling, Ingenieur Chronograph, the Chrono Alarm is equipped with a meca-quartz movement belonging to the calibre 630, the smallest movement of its category ever manufactured.
These hybrid calibres were produced by Jaeger-Le Coultre for IWC and combined quartz-controlled stepping motors with a mechanically driven chronograph (more than 250 moving parts). In the case of the Chrono Alarm’s calibre 633, it was furthermore enhanced with an alarm function.
This horology marvel is among others water resistant to 3 atm and amagnetic to 4,800 A/m (specificity of the ‘Ingenieur’ line).
These days, the Ingenieur Chrono Alarm belongs to the most popular models of the Ingenieur line and regarded as a collector’s item.
The main reason is of course its calibre 633 which belongs the technical marvels among the quartz movements used by IWC.

Automatic self-winding movement. Designed to be a less-expensive, smaller, automatic version of the Omega classic Speedmaster Professional (“Moon Watch”), the Speedmaster Reduced has gained fans thanks to the smaller size and different dial. In contrast to the original Speedmaster, it has an automatic movement with wider-spaced sub-dials.
Because the movement is (traditionally) modular, the Speedmaster Reduced is thicker than the original Speedmaster Professional, however, and sits higher on the wrist.
The smaller case is waterproof to 30m.

The silver-tone stainless steel case and bracelet give the watch a feel of durability that makes it perfect for everyday wear. While the large black analog watch face gives it a sense of style and class. Encircling the face is a black ceramic bezel that is uni-directional, allowing for custom adjustment. The silver-tone skeleton hands are luminescent and boldly contrast on the black dial for easy timekeeping. At the 3 o’clock position you will find the date display. Encasing the hands is highly durable and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The solid case back features a screw down crown and the iconic Seamaster insignia of a seahorse and the Omega logo.
This dive style watch is Swiss made. Inside powering your watch is the Omega Calibre 2500 automatic movement. For the ultimate in dependability, there is 48-hours’ worth of power reserve. The Seamaster case is water resistant in up to 300 meters or 1,000 feet. So feel free to wear this watch no matter what the day brings your way.
The watch case measures 41mm across and 12 mm thick making it a lower profile on the wrist. The band, however, comes in a generous 8 inches in length and 20 mm in width. To secure the bracelet, there’s a double push-button deployment clasp. This allows you to adjust the watch band for a secure and custom fit.
