    Seiko Bullhead Reg 6138-0040 – Exceptional Example. Original.

    Description:

    This watch still has an undeniable charm today, due to its enormous technical qualities and its particular design.

    A model that takes its name from the orientation of the crown and pushers. In particular, the name “bull’s head” derives from the control buttons positioned on the tip of the watch, rather than on the right as usual in many chronographs. In reality, the positioning of these buttons on the “head” of the watch has a precise meaning, and serves to prevent the buttons from moving inadvertently during maneuvers with the watch.

    Another interesting detail of the Bullhead is the aspect of the clock which in a certain sense seems to recall the timer on a dashboard. This stylistic choice is quite sympathetic, given that this atypical chronograph was created specifically for Motorsports.

    Finally, the Bullhead watch reveals a steel bracelet called Fishbone, this is distinguished by its central spine, from which a network of horizontal scales emerge, which then recreate the entire bracelet. Its finish is very interesting and together with the case, it certainly attracts the eye to a pleasant and particular appearance.

    A rare Seiko Alba ACAM001 Y204-5000 1996 Disney Limited Edition Mickey Mouse 21 Jewel Manual Wind Jump Hour Watch with Original Wooden Music Display Box, Paper, Tags. The Mickey Limited Collection was released by Seiko’s Alba division who had the marketing rights to Disney character watches. Some unique watches were produced near the turn of the millennium to celebrate Mickey’s 70th birthday. Mineral crystal is pristine. Dial is a unique jump hour configuration with the hour and minutes visible through a triangular window and a running central seconds. Unsigned crown in great shape and the watch winds well. Case and display caseback with Mickey figure in excellent condition. The 21 Jewel Y204 movement looks clean and the watch is keeping decent time; service recommended for all vintages. The signed 1996 Limited Collections wooden box is in perfect shape and features a wind-up music box. It plays the classic song “Someday My Prince Will Come” from the Disney Classic Snow White; the music box winds well and a twist knob activates the music. If you like rare Seiko’s and cool Mickey mouse watches – this is Alba Mickey Mouse ACAM001 jump hour is pretty rare find. I believe it was a limited release of 1996 – so it would make a great gift for those watch/Mickey lovers out there!
