Following the sale of the Rayville-Blancpain name to Jacques Piguet and Jean Claude Biver in 1983, Blancpain began a journey from near-bankruptcy to acting as one of the main catalysts that saved Swiss watchmaking. Key to this success was Blancpain’s steadfast dedication to mechanical watches with thin complicated movements, classical designs, and extremely luxurious craftsmanship. As such, Blancpain’s elegant dress watches became some of the most popular on the market and the brand continued to enjoy incredible growth. As the brand’s way to celebrate Jehan-Jacques Blancpain’s birthday, the brand’s original founder, the Jubilee Limited Edition Ultra Slim was launched in 1993 as a limited edition collection of 300 pieces. Featuring a 34mm 18kt white gold case built using the same elegant design language as most of Blancpain’s popular offerings, the Jubilee Limited Edition Ultra Slim’s thin profile, stepped bezel and hefty 18kt white gold case ensured it was a delight to wear. Manually-wound through its cal. 64-1 movement, the ref. 7001 is the culmination of Blancpain’s traditionalist watchmaking ideologies. As such, it features a simple white dial whose only reference to its commemorative status is the “1693-1993” inscription found in its subseconds dial at 6 o’clock.

Gents watch. 38mm.Here we have an interesting Heuer chronograph from the late 1970s. The dial and case are both marked “Made in France.”
These were made by Monnin, just like the reference 844 dive watch. This model is powered by a Valjoux 7765 and features a quick-set date which makes setting the watch a dream.
The tonneau-shaped case features “open style” lugs that also make changing straps very easy. Another great feature of the dial is the teardrop-shaped register hands and the subsidiary dial design.
The orange luminous hands really contrast against the non-luminous dial for maximum legibility.
When this model was featured in the Heuer 1978-79 catalog, the original price was 230 Francs.
This is a good opportunity to get an interesting Heuer that was made in France.

The goal was to find a chronograph capable of maintaining excellent precision even in extreme conditions of use – including violent accelerations from 9 to 11 g’s, variations in pressure and temperature, as well as vibrations and magnetic fields.Zenith responded the bid for tender launched by the French Ministry of Defence by presenting the reliable and resistant Rainbow Fly Back model in 1997.Its steel case had a diameter of 40 mm, therefore the readability from the big dial was outstanding and the accuracy of the Zenith El Primero calibre 400 under all conditions at the level desired by the French Ministry of Defence.Excellent original condition. Omega Speedmaster Marui Panda was made as a special edition for the Japan market in this unique dial and Omega bracelet combination. The Omega Speedmaster Marui reference 3539.31.00 is often confused with the Omega Speedmaster Reduced reference 3510.21.00 which was also a special edition for the Japanese market. The most obvious visual difference between two “Marui” models is that the Omega Speedmaster 3539.31.00 has applied bar hour markers and a different Omega bracelet 1553/939 making it a desirable model for the collector. The Omega Speedmaster 3510.21.00 has the flat hour lume on the dial and Omega bracelet 1469/811. The serial number for this Omega Speedmaster Marui 3539.31 indicates the correct range for this Mauri model.
Immaculate condition. Not polished. Original. Very little signs of wear. Original Box, spare links, pin, instruction manual and card holder. No warranty card. Easily apply for certificate of authenticity with Omega.
We are confident this has to be one of the finest examples available on today’s market. An appreciating asset. Ultra rare and exclusive.

The watch came out in 1973 marking the 125th anniversary of the brand – Then 23 years old Louis Brandt, the father of the brand, set up his workshop in June 1848. While it was not the only unique model that Omega released to commemorate this special occasion, it is the one most of us associate with the event. At the time the Speedmaster 125 was a very progressive watch both technically and design-wise. It incorporated many cutting-edge features. To start with, the case is thick, bulky and heavy even for the 70’s. It features an integrated bracelet, something not too many Omega chronographs from that era had (like the Omega Lobster 188.001). Staying with the case, the Speedmaster 125, just like the Mark IV, also has a two-piece case.
