A RARE AND SPECIAL TIMEPIECE. IN EXCEPTIONAL ORIGINAL CONDITION. The Apnea is a comparatively rare and collectible dive watch in Omega’s iconic Seamaster series, and is named for the biological term for suspension of breathing. The watch was made in honour of legendary diver Jacques Mayol, and released in 2003, two years after his death. Mayol was one of the most extraordinary divers in history; he is known for his almost supernatural ability to hold his breath and slow his heart rate in water. The watch has a remarkable and highly unique chronograph function. As the second hand times each minute, the circles in the top half of the dial turn red, one at a time, in a 7-minute cycle; they then return to white for a further 7 minutes. ANY INSPECTION WELCOME. 12 MONTH WARRANTY. WATCH WILL BE FULLY INSPECTED AND TESTED BEFORE SOLD. |
