    Hermes’ Brown Cabana Bag is a casual, functional tote with chic written all over it! In brown Swift leather with tonal stitching from the 2000 collection (a D blind stamped in a square), it comes with a dustbag in good condition with wear on the corners, edges, feet, and hardware. It’s a slouchy, open-top bag with flat matching-leather handles with a 9.75-inch drop for shoulder wear. Palladium is the metal of choice in the front logo button details, studs, and strap hardware. In brown leather lining, the interior has two hanging pockets that can be detached. Cabana is a rare find and has everything you need in a shopping tote. This example is in exceptional condition.     The Day-Date is one of Rolex’s tentpole watches. It has served as a symbol of power and success since its inception. Originally released in 1956, the Day-Date soon became one of the most desirable luxury watches to own at the time. The reference you see here is the 118238, which was part of the next generation of Day-Dates released in 2000, at its launch replacing the ref. 18238 and representing the first in-production President design of the 21st century.

    While in many ways similar to Day-Date’s of the past, the 118238 notably introduced to the classic collection a slightly more robust wear on the wrist, this in part resulting from the silhouette’s broader lug shape. While wearing a bit larger and even sportier, the gold reference is at its core a luxurious watch, with Rolex introducing the first use of full polishing on its lugs as compared to previously used brushed finishing – of course in addition to an iconic fluted bezel – to make that point.

    Outside of its updated case shape and finishing, the dial options of the 118238 continue on the established and popular efforts of the reference that preceded it, instituting some smaller updates in configurations and luminous materials in-line with the rest of the brand during the era. Inside, the caliber 3155 provided power for the quintessential 36mm Day-Date look, complete with its useful double quick-set function, allowing both the date and day display to be quickly adjusted for particularly seamless wear.

    Very late serial number 8 million, making this a 1978-1979 model year.

    The dial is a factory single red dial. Ultra rare, if not the only one on this year.

    Bracelet is the correct 93150 with 580 ends, used after 1976. All correct and matching.

    Hands have been re-lumed at some point.

    It’s the later mark 6 dial. Matt dial, beautiful trtium aged colouration.

    Original aluminium bezel.

    A rare and honest Explorer II “Steve McQueen”, featuring a perfect ‘MK IV’ matte dial with matching creamy tritium lume plots and hands.

    The 1655 Explorer II is one of the most collectible vintage Rolex’s on the market, famous for their big bold orange “Freccione” 24 hour hand.

    A few of these “Steve McQueen’s” aged over time in such a way that the hand turned a ghostly white, earning the Albino nickname and matching the creamy Tritium lume perfectly.

    In superb condition, this iconic sports watch from 1979 sports the correct Mk II dial with its famous “Frog’s Foot” Coronet and matching Mk III bezel.

    These are extremely hard to find nowadays with its original ‘thin font’ stainless steel bezel (as most were routinely replaced by Rolex during service).

    Rolex Gmt-master – Ref: 16750 – Transition Model. Matte Dial. Ultra Rare. Exceptional.

    Description

    EXCEPTIONAL EXAMPLE. ALL CORRECT AND MATCHING. MATTE DIAL.

    In 1981 Rolex debuted the third GMT-Master, the ref. 16750. Considered a transitional reference, the GMT-Master 16750 was in production for less than a decade until about 1988. While it was very similar in style to its predecessor, the GMT-Master ref. 1675, the ref. 16750 did offer some technical improvements.

    During its eight years of production, the Rolex GMT-Master ref. 16750 had two distinct dial variations within its steel case. The first generation had matte black dials with hour markers without white gold surrounds, while the later ones had glossy black dials with indexes that included the white gold surrounds.

    A vintage GMT-Master ref. 16750 with the matte dials are actually very difficult to come by since they were often replaced with glossy ones during servicing. And naturally, because the matte dials lacking the white gold surrounds are rarer, they are indeed more coveted among the two versions.
