Audemars Piguet’s dress watches from the 1970s and 1980s are some of the most daring, creative and straight up bang for your buck options out there.
While most of the watch industry was being ravaged by the quartz crisis, the 1970s and 1980s were a creative time for Audemars Piguet.

We particularly love their bold and funky gold dress watches from that era. This geometric beauty from the 1980s is the perfect example. Executed in 18k white-gold, it forgoes the traditional looks of a dress watch, instead offering a lovely octagonal design that is reminiscent of the famous Royal Oak.

The watch features a 27 mm x 32 mm octagonal case and a luxurious integrated 18k white-gold bracelet. The bracelet features thin cylindrical links with connecting rings that are reminiscent of bamboo stalks. This intricate detailing is included on the bezel as well, with the rings cleverly situated on the hour positions.

The watch features a grey/silver dial with a grainy texture, which gives it a lovely matte effect, and brilliant-cut diamond hour markers. The dial is complemented by elegant faceted 18k white-gold dauphine hands.

This lovely dress watch is in excellent condition and has a manual winding movement.
