The Omega Speedmaster is one of the most iconic chronograph models ever made. Famously, it was a Speedmaster Professional that Buzz Aldrin wore when he stepped onto the moon in 1969. The flat black bezel is calibrated for tachymeter and the steel case has flaring sides with combinations of polished and satin finishes. The stainless steel bracelet is detachable and this watch may be worn with a strap if preferred. Named the ‘Reduced’ Speedmaster this model has a slightly smaller case diameter of 39mm rather than the 42mm diameter of the standard Speedmaster, it is also an automatic rather than manually wound version of the Speedmaster family.

The Omega Speedmaster was Introduced in 1957, a chronograph originally designed for sport and racing. This enhanced Omega’s position as the official time keeper for the Olympic games, when the chronograph watch was still in its early days of innovation.
The Speedmaster is one of the worlds most recognised watch collections ever made. Nick-named the ‘Moon watch’ due to the Omega Speedmaster being certified with NASA in 1965 and becoming the only watch to have been worn on the moon.
