This Cartier Calibre de Diver is in beautifulcondition. Featuring a black DLC divers bezel, this 42mm stainless steel model sports a black luminous dial and hands. Powered by the new generation of in-house automatic Cartier movements (cal.1904-PS MC), fitted to a waterproof rubber strap with steel Cartier pin buckle, and water resistant to 300m. Complete with its original Cartier box and unstamped Cartier certificate.

The dial of this Ref. 75190 is a navy-blue shade, which invokes a sense of the ocean, while also providing a contrast to the stainless-steel case. The watch has a uni-directional twin-lock bezel in a complementary shade of blue, as opposed to the bi-directional bezels of earlier Submariners, preventing the accidental turning of the bezel.
The index markers and Mercedes-based minute hands are rendered in steel and filled with tritium, giving greater legibility for divers, and there is a date aperture at 3 o’clock, enlarged with a Cyclops window. In a departure from previous references, the Ref. 75190 uses sapphire crystal rather than plexiglass, giving this piece a more modern look.
Notably, the dial of this Ref. 75190 still bears “Prince Oysterdate”, highlighting that this is an earlier version of the reference, as pieces produced after 1997 bear “Prince Date” instead, omitting the “Oyster”. With a case diameter of 36mm, this Submariner is slightly smaller than the previous iterations, and when combined with the traditional Oyster bracelet, the overall look is reminiscent of a classic divers’ watch. The caseback and crown feature classic Rolex signatures, a subtle reminder of the partnership between Tudor and Rolex.
The Movement:
The Ref. 75190 is powered by the ETA 2824-2, a movement that features 25 jewels, has a bi-directional winding rotor, and a hacking function, which allows for improved time-synchronisation. The watch has a power reserve of 42 hours, and the movement also enables a quick date correction.

In the late 1990s the French Ministry of Defence was seeking for a watch for its fighter pilots. The goal was to find a chronograph capable of maintaining excellent precision even in extreme conditions of use – including violent accelerations from 9 to 11 g’s, variations in pressure and temperature, as well as vibrations and magnetic fields.
Zenith responded the bid for tender launched by the French Ministry of Defence by presenting the reliable and resistant Rainbow Fly Back model in 1997.
Its steel case had a diameter of 40 mm, therefore the readability from the big dial was outstanding and the accuracy of the Zenith El Primero calibre 400 under all conditions at the level desired by the French Ministry of Defence.Excellent original condition. Showing minor signs of wear for age. Not polished. Becoming increasingly rare to source early models. A great investment timepiece. An important part of Zenith history.

The legendary Cartier Santos set the template for every wristwatch that followed after its release in 1904. And, it’s still every bit as relevant as it was over a hundred years ago.
Before the introduction of the Cartier Santos, it was common for men to wear rather clunky pocket watches. The Santos was pioneering for completely reimagining the way we interact with our timepieces, but also because it introduced a revolutionary aesthetic. The pocket watches that preceded it, and many wrist watches that followed it, were round with fluid details. The Santos, in contrast, has a strong and utilitarian look, with a square case and visible screws on the bezel. The Santos has remained a staple in Cartier’s collection ever since its introduction more than a century ago. Over time, its boxy looks were toned down a bit, with the case acquiring slightly curvier lugs, and the iconic integrated Santos bracelet was introduced in the late 1970s. This midsize reference 119901 dates back to the mid-1990s and is executed in a 29 mm stainless steel case with an 18k yellow gold screwed bezel and matching two-tone Santos bracelet. The classic ivory dial features Cartier’s well-known painted black Roman numerals and blued sword hands. At the 6 o’clock position we find a charming aperture that displays the phases of the moon through a lovely blue and gold-coloured disc. This Santos also incorporates a date function, which is displayed by a blued crescent-shaped hand that ticks along a date track. All these blue details of course match the blue sapphire cabochon that traditionally tops the crown. The watch is powered by a handy quartz movement and comes with the original box and warranty manual.
