The Pilot’s Watch Automatic Spitfire remains true to the pure instrumentation design of the Mark 11 navigation watch, produced from 1948 for the British Royal Air Force. The new IWC-manufactured 32110 caliber appears for the first time in this timepiece, the robust automatic movement has a bi-directional ratchet winding system that provides a power reserve of 72 hours. The watch is easily wearable thanks to the diameter of 39 millimeters. The stainless steel case, black dial and green fabric strap are inspired by the colors of the Spitfire cockpit. A soft iron inner case protects the movement from magnetic fields. IWC integrates for the first time an in-house caliber from the 32000 caliber family: the IWC-manufactured caliber 32110 powers two Spitfire automatic watches. Safe, robust and reliable, all IWC-manufactured movements embody the brand’s engineering excellence.

The Breitling Emergency was originally design for pilots and aircrews. It is a watch with a built-in micro-transmitter broadcasting on the 121.5 MHz aircraft emergency frequency and is designed to complement the distress signalling equipment of any aircraft. Following a crash the âEmergencyâ will broadcast a signal on which rescuers can home in.
The transmitter is activated (for 48 hours) by unscrewing a protective cap and pulling the antenna out fully. Over flat terrain or calm seas, the transmitter signal has a range of about 160Km (assuming the search aircraft is flying at an altitude of 6000m).

This attractive IWC Ingenieur is modern interpretation of the older Ingenieur SL reference 1832 which was designed by none other than the great GĂ©rald Genta. After designing the Royal Oak and the Nautilus, the master designed the third generation of their Ingenieur-line, which was released in a radically different design. The cushion-shaped case features 5 distinct recesses in the bezel which are used to apply the screwing tools and further serve as decoration for the watch.
Thanks to the popularity of other watches designed by the great GĂ©rald Genta, the IWC Ingenieur ‘Jumbo’ also benefits from increasing attention which led the brand to create this new version adapted to today’s tastes.
