The watch came out in 1973 marking the 125th anniversary of the brand – Then 23 years old Louis Brandt, the father of the brand, set up his workshop in June 1848. While it was not the only unique model that Omega released to commemorate this special occasion, it is the one most of us associate with the event. At the time the Speedmaster 125 was a very progressive watch both technically and design-wise. It incorporated many cutting-edge features. To start with, the case is thick, bulky and heavy even for the 70’s. It features an integrated bracelet, something not too many Omega chronographs from that era had (like the Omega Lobster 188.001). Staying with the case, the Speedmaster 125, just like the Mark IV, also has a two-piece case.

This OMEGA Speedmaster Spacemaster Z-33 is inspired by the iconic “Pilot Line” case shape of the firm and is equipped with a new and exclusive multifunction quartz movement, the caliber 5666. Floating above the digital dial, there is a set of hands. analogue measurement gauges, which are adjusted using the crown at 3 o’clock.
Surrounding the watch, there are four pushers which, together with the crown, allow full control of the display of digital functions. Those functions include date, UTC and two time zones, alarm and perpetual calendar.
Elapsed time is measured with a chronograph function and a countdown timer. It also has self-programming professional pilot functions, to record up to ten flights and view those records with date and time stamps. The case is made of grade 5 titanium, with a black rubber strap.

RARE AND COLLECTABLE.
Zenith presented the ChronoMaster at the Basel fair in 1994.
That was a good year for Zenith when during one and the same year they launched the 6 series (Elite movement), the calibre 420 hand wound El Primero (Zenith Prime) and the Zenith ChronoMaster (calibre 400 or 410)! You could choose between calibre 400 El Primero automatic chronograph with date or calibre 410 with date, day, month and moon phase. The calibre 400 or 410 were of course not new.
What was new about the Zenith ChronoMaster was the careful effort put into the design (in a classical 1950’s style), the name “ChronoMaster” (which can also be traced back to the 1950’s), and the seasoning with a chronometer certificate.
When they were introduced all Zenith ChronoMasters were COSC certified chronometers.Although the Zenith El Primero is a born chronometer, AFAIK it was the first time that Zenith took the trouble to get COSC certificates for the El Primero.
This short introduction and overview will further focus on the most iconic model: the moon phase ChronoMaster (cal. 410), and only during the early years (1994-98).

The Omega Speedmaster ‘Broad Arrow’ was first introduced in 2002 and drew design inspiration from the original 1957 Speedmaster. Signature elements include the engraved tachymeter bezel and the ‘Broad Arrow’ hand-set. The reference 3551.20.00 features a white dial paired with blue hands and markers.
This timepiece is in overall excellent pre-owned condition. All photos are of the actual watch being sold. Powered by Omega’s Calibre 3303 self-winding mechanical movement which contains 33 jewels and has an approximate 55-hour power reserve. Date display is located at the 6 o’clock position.
