Originally created for a famous aviator in 1904, the Santos de Cartier watch series has become famous for its iconic design and flawless function. The watch case is available in yellow gold or a two-tone combination of gold and stainless steel. With black oxidized steel hands and an elegant alligator skin strap, this luxury Santos Cartier watch has been often imitated, but never duplicated.
Santos-Dumont skeleton watch, XL, Manufacture mechanical movement with manual winding 9611 MC. 18K white gold case, octagonal crown set with a faceted sapphire, dial with Roman numerals formed by the movement bridges, blued-steel sword-shaped hands. The 1655 Explorer II is one of the most collectible vintage Rolex’s on the market, famous for their big bold orange “Freccione” 24 hour hand.
A few of these “Steve McQueen’s” aged over time in such a way that the hand turned a ghostly white, earning the Albino nickname and matching the creamy Tritium lume perfectly.
In superb condition, this iconic sports watch from 1979 sports the correct Mk II dial with its famous “Frog’s Foot” Coronet and matching Mk II bezel.
These are extremely hard to find nowadays with its original ‘thin font’ stainless steel bezel (as most were routinely replaced by Rolex during service).

In 1979 Rolex debuted the third GMT-Master, the ref. 16750. Considered a transitional reference, the GMT-Master 16750 was in production for less than a decade until about 1988. While it was very similar in style to its predecessor, the GMT-Master ref. 1675, the ref. 16750 did offer some technical improvements.
During its eight years of production, the Rolex GMT-Master ref. 16750 had two distinct dial variations within its steel case. The first generation had matte black dials with hour markers without white gold surrounds, while the later ones had glossy black dials with indexes that included the white gold surrounds.
A vintage GMT-Master ref. 16750 with the matte dials are actually very difficult to come by since they were often replaced with glossy ones during servicing. And naturally, because the matte dials lacking the white gold surrounds are rarer, they are indeed more coveted among the two versions.

This Rolex GMT Master II features a superb cal. 3186 (with parachrom hairspring and Breguet overcoil), a lacquer dial and white gold Chromolight appliques, but its most impressive asset is the bezel. The GMT has long been known for its iconic two-tone bezel, to differentiate day and night, but this is the first full-production outing in blue and black. Moreover, it’s made of a single block of cerachrom, using a patented process that makes it the first watch to feature ceramic components in multiple colours. The material starts as entirely blue and the black colouring is added to the appropriate half while the substance is still porous

The Overseas is a piece of exceptional watchmaking with incredible detailing from the bezel to the bracelet to the dial and caseback. Looking at it, it can be hard to remember that is is a sport watch with a 150m factory rating and both anti-magnetic and shock resistance. The original Jorg Hysek design emerged in the late 70s as the gentleman’s sport watch competing with the Royal Oak and Nautilus. While it has evolved over the years, it remains very thin for a sporty watch at just under 10mm, which makes it extremely versatile for all occasions. The case size of 42mm seems large on paper, but fits comfortably on even smaller wrists.

This ‘T’ serial GMT-Master II with the famous red and black Coke bezel was retailed in 1997 and is complete with its original Rolex inner and outer box, punched Rolex certificate, and spare link.
One of the last years of the Tritium models. All original, batons have turned a lovely patina making this a great investment piece.
One of the best sports watches ever designed by Rolex, super comfortable to wear, fitted to its original 78790 all matte Oyster Fliplock bracelet, waterproof to 100m and with 3 time-zones. No longer in production, discontinued.
This is example is original throughout with the tritium dial. Unpolished. Collectors quality. A very rare find and only increasing in value.

The Rolex Submariner 16610 was released in 1988 and was powered by the brands longest serving movement, the automatic Rolex calibre 3135 with date located at the 3 o’clock position. The watch was originally fitted with black glossy dials with T25 tritium hour markers and hands. Tritium dials were eventually phased out in the late 90’s with watches being fitted with “SWISS” only dials in 1999. “SWISS MADE” dials were fitted from 2000 onward. These later dials featured Super-LumiNova filled hour marker and hands. Early Rolex Submariner 16610’s were fitted with the 93150 oyster bracelet with folding clasp. From 2000 the 93250 oyster bracelet was fitted to the Rolex Submariner 16610. The Rolex Submariner 16610 originally featured lug holes but there were deleted in 2003. Late examples of the Rolex Submariner 16610, from 2008, also feature the engraved inner rehaut displaying the serial number at the 6 o’clock position.

The Rolex 226570 for sale here is the latest iteration of the brand’s iconic spelunker’s tool watch. Released in 2021, the newer-model Explorer II boasts every upgrade available to the Rolex catalog. That includes the next-generation cal. 3285 Perpetual movement, complete with a 70-hour power reserve and an upgraded Chronergy escapement.
Reference 226570 also features desirable Chromalight blue luminous plots on the dial, 904L Oystersteel, a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, and a Twinlock waterproof screw-down crown. It also keeps the same 42mm diameter and is still available with either a black or white dial topped with the series’ signature orange arrow hand.
